Christmas holidays have been lazy but creativity didn't come short either. So while having all the material at hand I took up my paintbrush and put some paint on canvas. After not having been painting for some time again my head was full with ideas. Unfortunatelly I only had little time once again before hitting the road again. As inspiration severved photos of friends and the idea of little men.... and I had various ideas for what they stand for... While painting I was listening to Die Happy's latest album Red Box on full volume which was my personal christmas treat :)
The Resting Dog was the second one I got started. The first picture was taken halfway through before I took up work on it a week later.
I somehow like both perspectives of the girl looking at you...

The original painting showed an entirely different person but I was never satisfied with the result. So after applying multiple layers of color I put a peach colored base over everything except the top left corner and started anew. The table with the two little men standing on it is the only leftover of the original work.
