This was the first one I painted when taking up my paintbrush this summer ...
Lizard
One of the reasons I didn't paint more this summer was that I ran out of canvas.... Late at nigth, on my search for old canvases which I could reuse, I started to alter bits and pieces of older paintings I didn't like anymore or which I always thought disturbing... Thats why the Lizard woman which is hanging in my room, got a slightly different look...
There is also the painting called Piano. It was one of the first ones I got done years ago. My first huge empty canvas to fill up, which also started that whole giraffe business. (In all the following paintings of that year and the year after you can find a tiny giraffe somewhere in the picture. This is due to my sister asking, why the hell there is a giraffe?)
Anyway, I think I changed the painting a few times over the years in the hope to like it.... I'm still not satisfied so perhaps one day it'll disappear altogether. However, the last radical change was around New Year 2010 if I recall it correctly... never posted a picture of that one, so here it goes.....
